Best times to visit Key West
Visiting Key West is all about timing & priorities. As natives, we know when the best times are to visit… not just the best weather, but also the best prices! Here’s your guide to knowing what peak season is, when to visit if you’re watching the wallet, and also when to expect rain. Along with each month, we’ve included a list of key events.
Key West Weather
Key West Weather: March-May
During the months of March, April and May, skies are clear, temperatures are perfect (mid-80’s by May). This is the best time to visit the Key West! Not to mention, rates taper off before the rainy season, so you can take advantage of lower prices.

Key West Weather: June-August
This is the rainy season, therefore we see less tourism (which is great for those vacationers who don’t want to deal with too many tourists.) Room rates are low, therefore we still get visitors. The weather is still great (80’s and 90’s) - just pack an umbrella.

Key West Weather: September-November
Hurricanes are a possibility during September, October and November. Most tourists avoid Key West during this time, but nothing can deter those bargain hunters! The deals are unsurpassable during these months. =

Key West Weather: December-February
Prices peak during these months. As the cold fronts spread throughout the rest of the US, Key West enjoys incredible weather in the 70’s. Not to mention, beach views. Therefore, the best way to get a deal during these months is to plan ahead (and work with a travel agent who has insights into where the secret deals are!)
