It almost goes without saying that 2020 will be one of the weirdest years on record. Not just because of the pandemic, but because of its worldwide spread. You really can’t go anywhere to escape the constant news bombardement that is COVID.

This doesn’t mean, however, that you have to completely sacrifice your vacation plans. While you may not be able to travel to a big sporting event or go to one of the country’s major monuments, you can still take a vacation to unwind and relax.

We all need a little R&R. Let’s talk about how Key West can be the ideal relaxing getaway for you.

Key West has Plenty of Natural Attractions

The beach withstanding, there are plenty of beautiful natural attractions in our area. While Key West was definitely known for its nightlife in the past, now there is more “morning life” you can look forward to.

Perhaps the biggest of all these attractions is the Key West Nature Preserve. Situated on the south side, the preserve is an area of undeveloped beachfront home to plenty of wildlife.

It has a very short trek to the beach and is perfect for families or those just looking to disconnect for a few hours. We highly recommend you check it out.

Key West is Quiet Again

We’re not going to lie: we do miss the festivals and annual parties that happened throughout the year in Key West. Even though it may have been a bit hard on the ears at times, it’s hard to not get excited with life and music.

This year, however, the festivals are canceled and Key West has returned to be the peaceful little island that it originally was.

Wake up in paradise after a wonderful night’s sleep amongst the calm breezes coming off the water.

Travel is Easier

Whenever you leave for vacation, you’re always excited about what you’re going to do at the destination. No one is doing backflips in anticipation of the car ride or the flight ahead.

But now, travel is much easier. You should obviously travel at your own risk but airlines have made it easier for those looking to get a quick getaway.

Major airlines such as United, American, and Southwest have completely waived change fees meaning that you can easily rebook your trip again in the future. So you don’t have to worry about something unexpected arising. We’ll still be here.

Key West is Safe

After a spike in the summer, COVID levels in Key West have started to go back down. The past few months have given us the opportunity to perfect out cleaning and sterilization and it’s hard to find a safer place in Florida. Masks are still required and we’re following all protocols to make sure everyone continues to stay safe.

The Beach

At the end of the day, Key West has some of the prettiest beaches in the Keys. That being said, it’s obvious that should be the highlight of your relaxation plans.

You can easily social distance, have your own small area, and enjoy a slice of paradise. Come to Key West, stay safe, and rejuvenate. We’re ready for you!
