Hot Holiday Hidden Gems

The holidays are almost upon us, and if there is one thing better than Christmas, it’s Christmas in Key West! Enjoy the Key West vacation of your winter dreams with our hot holiday hidden gems - who says Santa Claus and his elves can’t enjoy an ice cream on Christmas Eve?

Need A Tree? KW Has Got You Covered

Nothing is more magical than the Holiday ritual of decorating your Christmas tree, watching your loved ones become even more excited as the much anticipated day approaches. Spending your holiday season on vacation in South Florida does not mean that you can’t continue this tradition - depending on your accommodation, of course!

MARC (Monroe Association for Remarkable Citizens) is a fantastic organization located in Key West that offers comprehensive support to intellectually and developmentally disabled adults in the Florida Keys. As an annual tradition, they have a tree lot sale to raise funds for their fantastic work, and this year is no exception. From table centerpieces to star-gazing twelve-foot jaw-droppers, their lot has over 1000 pieces to choose from. You don’t even have to stop your imagination at the tree of your dreams. They also have wreaths, ornaments, and mistletoe galore!

Go to the tree lot sale (until December 24th).

Historic Seaport Walk - Christmas Edition

Key West has pulled out all the stops to give locals and visitors alike a place where they can drink in the beauty of South Florida and the magic of Christmas all at once. From lobster trap Christmas trees from a marina so brightly lit, there’s no way Santa could miss it, the Historic Seaport Christmas Walk is an unmissable “to-do” during your stay here.

Transition seamlessly from day to night at your harborside accommodation, fishing, boating, and shopping your heart out before hitting the local watering holes at night. After giving yourself some time to digest, take another stroll to savor the evening activities, admire the artwork, buy some souvenirs and, most importantly, keep your eyes peeled - you might see Santa along the way.

Boat & Train Tours, But Christmas

If you’re tired of walking yourself and your family around and are as excited to be shown the beauty of this region as the locals are to show you, then we suggest hopping on a train or boat tour. Or both - it’s the holidays after all! All-day boat cruises sailing the seven seas, with offers for free-flowing champagne and waste widening selections of sumptuous food, offer a Christmas time experience that you will never forget.

If trains are more your thing, then hop onto the Conch Tour! The special holiday edition will delight and awe as it whisks you around Florida’s favorite Key. Not only will you get to see all the most vividly decorated houses, buildings, and neighborhoods down here, the tour is topped off by a rendezvous with some cheerful Christmas carolers. The temperatures may not be cold, but the hospitality sure is warm. Come find out for yourself!
